many large, stone steps lead down into the florescent lighting of the city's subway. white flooring and white walls are difficult to keep clean with so many people frequenting its' space. during the day, the platform is usually too crowded to see clearly from one side to the other. during the night, there's only the lesser traffic of those up to no good. leaky water fountains stand between the bathrooms, and a vending machine is only a little farther down the lengthy room. there are benches along the back wall. trains pass frequently, picking up and dropping off passengers. no one monitors the flow of individuals onto and off the trains, it'd be easy for a canine to slip right in or even off. the railway leads all across Sang City. with only rats or the occasional bird for prey, only two canines could be supported here.

only those daring enough to step off of the subway platform will find the underground. tracks rest about a foot lower than the actual platform, and the ground below is concrete. there's room enough for a canine to walk along the edge of the tracks safely, even with a train passing. deeper into the tunnel of the subway, there's a small opening that seems to have been dug out on the right-hand wall. through the tunnel, perhaps at the walking distance of a half mile, there hides a labyrinth of the sewers. dirty water lays stagnant at the base of these circular tunnels, and when it rains there's a noticeable increase in the depth of said water. rats, opossums and raccoon wander about the tunnels in search of a dirty but easy meal. five canines could be supported here.

constructed for the maintenance of the many trains which circulate around Sang City, this depot can hold more than one-hundred trains total at any given time. a large, metal structured building stands as the main event, and it houses the subway trains that have been pulled out of circulation. since these subway trains aren't designed to handle weather or temperature, they're kept sealed and secured in the building at all times. if a gate isn't kept closed after a train enters or exit, there's ample opportunity to slip in and explore. one should be careful with the maintenance employees. beside the subway building is a fenced-in area that is roughly the size of the building itself. trains litter this yard just as they do inside the building, but these trains are designed to face the open air. some boxcars have open doors, left as such by those who unloaded the contents prior. maintenance people are more rare on this yard, as half the trains kept are permanently out of commission. with small prey as the only source of food and no steady water supply save for the rain accumulating in drainage troughs, only four canines could survive here.

settled a little ways down the main track from the train depot, seemingly lifted and placed a few feet to the left, is a boxcar. ancient and unmovable for how far its' wheels have furrowed into the ground, the boxcar is an easy walk from the depot. it could perhaps have been left here as decoration, though it's anything but pretty. sturdy in structure with faded red paint, it could make an excellent shelter in times of wind or rain. the sliding doors on the side opposite the working tracks remain slightly ajar at all times, its' dank inside bare save for a few old newspapers. not far from the open door trickles a murky stream, and the forested area around it provides a decent amount of small animals as prey. four canines could be supported here.
