not quite sprawling but close enough, this community is mostly made up of the parents whose children are attending middle school. most of the houses are two-story buildings with siding on the exterior walls and decorations in the yard. 'cozy' would be an adjective the people living within the neighborhood might use to describe their community. still, there are certain people who are anything but pleasant. a few homes are vacant for the time being, but even so there's plenty of nooks around the area to shelter oneself in. cats, opossums, raccoons, and even deer sometimes wander through. there's plenty of places scattered about that'll hold water if it rains. six canines could be supported here.

within the neighborhood is a very distinct house, not even because of its' bright purple coloring. there are literally almost fifty cats that live within this one woman's home at any given time. she doesn't keep track of numbers or names, but she knows when she's running low in supply. the cats have free reign over the house and yard, going in and out as they please through a cat-door on the front door as well as the back. there's a medium-sized shed behind the house that holds only the cats' know what, since there's a cat door on it too. bowls litter the yard, usually full of rain water or sometimes refilled by the cat lady herself. don't let her catch you snooping around her yard in search of an easy meal, she'll be quick to run you off with a broom! the house beside hers' is vacant and accessible through a broken window in the back. five canines could be supported here.

across from the middle school is a small park, meant more for a younger crowd than the school's. settled in a mulch-filled area are slides, swings, a teeter-tooter, and a merry-go-round. all around the park are trees, a sparse forest of sorts. there's a pond in the trees, a bench situated beside to offer a great view of the many colorful goldfish that swim within the waters. there are multiple benches scattered around the park, a place for parents to sit and chat while kids play. though the park is busy by day, it sits mostly empty at night. there is real danger, however, as teenagers will come to the park, hanging around for hours, and leaving graffiti and vandalism in their wake. the pond provides water, and the fish a potential food source, as well as the odd squirrel or bird if one is fast enough, meaning that four canines could be supported here.

on the opposite side of the road from the park stands a middle school. as is common, the school is separated into three halls for each of the grades it teaches. there's a parking lot along the front and side of the building, enough room for teachers and buses to park with plenty of spaces for visiting parents. on the opposite side of the parking lot are the fields. soccer, baseball, and football. netted goals rest on the field, and there's a concession stand that sits between the football and baseball fields. there's no true playground, but there's a swing set with at least eight swings hanging. during the weekdays, the school is bustling with activity. on the weekends and at night, it's rare for even a janitor to be pacing the halls. there's a basement beneath the school, just as expansive as the building it rests under. broken desks and chairs, as well as other school supplies, litter the concrete flooring. there's a large man-made pond near the school, and small prey frequent the sparse woodland nearby. seven canines could be supported here.

SUBURBS
far enough away to avoid the craziness of downtown, but close enough to make the amenities there accessible, the suburbs are quiet and unassuming. home to people from all walks of life, and with multiple abandoned houses and empty lots, there is plenty of opportunity for a stray to survive here.
