PHYSiCAL DESCRiPTiON. For those who have never seen Glitch before, he can be a horrifying creature to behold. His toes are bent at awkward angles from where mere stubs turned to breaks, and his legs are lined with ugly scars where jagged edges of bones tore flesh, some of the stitches that held skin together still just barely visible. He's taller than most Iberian wolves, but his lack of muscle mass keeps him from feeling imposing. Instead, he has almost a skeletal grace to him, bones protruding gently at the joints, and giving his slender form an irregular curve in certain places. His coat is fairly typical for a pure Iberian, differing only slightly in shades and patterns. His teeth are chipped and cracked in jagged patterns, making his smile a gaudy and unnerving thing, which gives him all the more reason not to do it.
PERSONALiTY. If Glitch's condition has taught him anything it's this:
life is cruel, and the world is filled with pain. This philosophy is the base of Glitch's character. He is an incredibly cynical person, believing the worst of the world at the best of times. He can be paranoid, trusting almost no one, and actually loving even fewer. This contrasts heavily with his dependence on others, seeing as he cannot hunt, and can only eat softer meats. Despite his coldness and reluctance to trust, it is necessary for survival, which can cause some awkward and strange interactions. He also has serious self-esteem issues, often feeling as though he's too useless to be of any help to anyone, resulting in depression, which coupled with his paranoia, can often result in hostility. He can be quite cold at times, using logic rather than morals to make decisions, which can also make him seem heartless, though he is far from it.
HiSTORY. Glitch was born with a rare and debilitating condition called Osteogenesis imperfecta, more commonly known as Brittle Bones. Life growing up for him was difficult, having to constantly be fed by his caretakers, and unable to play with the other puppies at the reserve where he lived, which was located in southeast Russia. Though most treated him well, accidents were bound to happen, and it wasn't long before Glitch began to distance himself from the other wolves at the reserve, becoming somewhat of an enigma. Only his siblings who he slept with ever really spent time with him, and he loved them all dearly. His parents were much the same, caring for him, and spending time with him whenever they could. But overall, it was a lonely existence, and the driving force behind his cold demeanor. As the years went by, and the medical costs of keeping Glitch alive began to build up, between calcium formulas and surgeries whenever another accident happened, his caretakers realized it would not be long before they were unable to care for him. It was then that they made the decision to ship him to Red Rock Rise, believing that their constant care and treatment had actually inhibited his growth as a wolf. They believed that placing him in an environment where he would be dependent on other wolves would be better for him overall. But to Glitch, it was nothing more than a death sentence. They were taking him away from his family and the only home he had ever known. Despite this, he went without a fight, knowing that a struggle was likely to end badly for him. The ride over was in a very cushioned kennel within a cargo train that smelled of too many other animals. Would he survive such a perilous transition into a new environment? Only time would tell...
