PHYSiCAL DESCRiPTiON.
Riikka Elo has an athletic build, since her breed was re-created for long sessions of reindeer herding. The she dog has a black, double layer coat as most of her family does as well. Her face expresses traits similar to a Tibetan Mastiff or husky, with eyebrows of a creme color and the lower region of her face as a white/cream mix. The bridge of her nose is black, however there is a small portion of brown hues that can be noticed right above her nose. The inside of her ears, lower chest region, and lower half of all four paws exhibit a brown-cream color; meanwhile, her curled tail is completely black, showing no signs of the creme tint covering her body.
When it comes to poise and dominance, Riikka is more dominant than submissive. Her stance is bold and alert - she was never one for submissive poses. Her stride is usually fast paced, but it exhibits endurance. She will not display any signs of submission unless absolutely required.
PERSONALiTY.
Riikka Elo is more serious than jumpy or playful, but this is usually when there isn't too much to do, there are wolves around that do not stimulate any feelings of favorable sorts, or she is just not in the mood for fooling around; regardless of this aspect of her personality, Riikda can be quite friendly and open to others, as long as they don't show any signs of threat or dominance that exceeds hers. She will only raise the bar higher in order to achieve respect and the right amount of dominance from the other wolf. Riikka's breed describes her as energetic, which is true at times, but that is only when she is surrounded by wolves trusted and loved greatly. She is slowly becoming less apprehensive of humans and seems to dislike them more as time goes on. They do not clash well with her most of the time. Riikka likes a challenge, likes adventure, and will always look forward to the rush of adrenaline; do not expect her to pick the logical way out of situations. (She's more reckless, like Deadpool in a more sane and sophisticated version.)
HiSTORY.
THE ORIGINS -
Riikka Elo was from a breeder of a city close to Slang; her mother and father were one of the stars from the older lady that would give away her siblings every other day. She was the third generation from her parents, apparently! At least she wasn't the runt of the litter - she would have been kicked out just like her little brother. How cruel it was to just throw out scraps! No, she disliked the woman and eventually as her body outgrew those of her siblings (this litter was more of a failure than the previous two), Riikka was ignored by the little children that reached their prodding hands into the cardboard box. Humans did not like her and she did not like the humans even as a pup. Soon enough, it was only an older sister to which Rikka Elo competed with, and with their age, Riika and her 'sister' would be allowed to live a life with the odd, old lady. She wasn't...too old...Around her 50's at the least, Riikka assumed. She was not wanting to end up like her parents - they were nothing but reproducing machines to the elder lady. She didn't want to be stuck in a household either. Time after time, the pup would be caught trying to escape from the fenced in boundaries, only to be alerted by jealous siblings and whacked away with a rolled up newspaper. The she dog had witnessed accounts where dogs were beat, so she had the easier life from what had been exposed.
THE DECISION -
Eventually, a phone call from the lady's landline would disrupt everyone's evening. Her sister reclined on the soft dog bed placed in front of the bug screen (Riikka assumed her sister was now being used for breeding purposes as well, but it didn't matter to her. None of her siblings meant anything, she had learned after creating a bond with a smaller, younger sister before seeing her plucked first out of the litter) and Riikka herself paced in front of the household entrance. She always did around evening, eager to explore and run around freely. Phone calls were strange at this time and it was strange to receive requests for pups this late into the season, however what occurred to one of her siblings was tragic and the family that had purchased from the old lady wanted a replacement. One of the pups had a disease that killed him off in a matter of weeks. With such news, the old lady found this the perfect situation to rid of any extra dogs running around her household and placed her bet on Riikka's sister for the next generations of breeding, which left Riikka to the family.
It was when they arrive and handed the leash to the child when everyone screwed up. (The parents, being blind, thought the dog's utter excitement was for being chosen to go to a family. WRONG!) With the leash in a child's hand, Riikka pulled with all her might and felt the strain of the leather collar until the grip of the leash handle slipped. From then on, Riikka was a stray, and a happy one at that.
