PHYSiCAL DESCRiPTiON. Spade is rather dark overall, a mix of ebony guard hairs and a dark almost mud brown underfur making her look dirty all the time. The only flaw in her nearly all black and brown pelt is the pure white patch she bears on her chest, it's rather small, only about the size of an adult wolf's paw. Her pelt is thick and fluffy protecting her from almost anything the world can throw at her, be it weather or the assault of another animal. Her fur seems to flutter through the breeze as she walks due to it's texture, almost like ripples in water. Her eyes are what stand out the most--they could rival that of a pool of molten lava--being a burnt orange hue with lighter flecks throughout them.
She is tall and compact--for her age-- making running a breeze, however she doesn't usually use her strength like she should. Due to the genetics of her parents building muscle was a breeze for the yearling. Her limbs are long, tipped off with large paws to carry her muscular frame. You would never guess that under all of her fluffy fur that makes her look pudgy that the female would have a minimum amount of fat. She only tends to feed on the leanest parts of carcass. The reason behind her near flawless build would probably be the selective genetics the twolegs used, and the fact that she can never sit still. A little quirk about her is her smaller than average--rather pointed--ears that seem to always be perked, as if she's listening to everything.
She seems to always be carrying herself at a fast pace, one step for another wolf is nearly two steps for her. Somehow she manages to make nearly no noise despite this, her large paws seem to avoid all the loud objects on the ground. Perhaps this has to do with her pet peeve of being dirty, regardless, many question it but no one can quite figure her out. Her stealth is nearly unmatched, perhaps it's one of the few good traits about her. 349
PERSONALiTY. Adventurous by nature, Spade is always full of energy and ready to do something new. She is a contradiction in nearly all ways, she still has the childish mentality of a pup with a dominance streak. By saying she is like a pup this does not mean she is dumb, by all means she is not--she is actually rather intelligent--she just prefers to have fun with life. Her intelligence is from always thinking about new things, it was one of her favorite ways to pass time when she was locked away. She loves making new friends, and she seems to have an endless source of energy. She is always looking for something new to keep her mind occupied, be it with a paw to nom on or a stick to toss around. Granted this may be cute for a while, it can get quite annoying which is where her rebellious attitude butts in. If anyone tries to kill her mood she isn't afraid to tell them off. She doesn't like being told what to do--perhaps this is because of being alone from such a young age--but she knows when to listen. When she knows she isn't causing any trouble she won't "relax" or "lay down" she will continue to do as she pleases. With this being said she is still rather loyal, she listens to those who are above her with given reason. She will not simply lie down for them though, she has a black stomach--not a yellow one--she will stand up for herself. If anything she loves a good tussle, she's not fond of serious fights but to test her skills she doesn't quite mind it.
Spade rarely hates anything, and despite her personality--and the fact that she rarely dislikes much--she utterly loathes getting dirty. This plays against her love for adventure, if it's muggy out all she wants to do is spend her time in the water to avoid the gross feeling of the air. If a leaf is stuck in her fur? She has to get it out. Because of this she has picked up a strange habit of always chewing on her paws when she's not doing anything, it cleans the dirt off and keeps her nails well taken care of. The only exception of her dislike for bad hygiene, blood. She doesn't mind the red substance considering the struggle to get to the leanest parts of carcasses. She has grown used to it and simply licks it off after.
Something few know about the yearling is that she has major insecurities, below her outward personality she has the fear that no one likes her eating away at her conscience. She of course doesn't let this show, but that is why she still acts so childish, hoping that it will make it so no one knows how she really feels. She plays it off as if no one can hurt her but the slightest insult is like a bullet in her chest. She has no idea why her and her family were separated; she feels that somehow she upset them and they didn't want her so that's why she was taken away. 525
HiSTORY. Spade was born into a breeding facility specializing in genetics, they were breeding for wolves who could withstand even the harshest of conditions. They had several of the best wolves they could get their hands on and selectively bred them, trading off with other facilities. Eventually Spade and her siblings, along with a few other litters were born. They were borderline perfect in the eyes of the facility, no flaws were seen in the pups. No defects. Absolutely perfect. That was until they grew older and the five "demons"--as Spade heard the twolegs mumble--started to show their personalities. When they would come in to check on the pups they would try to wrestle with them, biting at their hands--sometimes drawing blood. More times than not they had left scars on the hands of their captors. At four months when Spade and her four siblings were deemed old enough to be away from their mother the humans moved them to a smaller enclosure where they would be taught to hunt and survive on their own. Neptune--the oldest brother--quickly established his dominance with Spade being just below him. The other three didn't show much interest in dominance and Spade wasn't interested in challenging her brother. They lived in perfect harmony until they were separated at six months, they had learned well enough how to hunt. That was all they needed to know in the eyes of the humans.
The next six months for Spade were hell, she hated being alone. She was practically going insane before she finally learned of a small group of pups in the enclosure close to hers. To ease her loneliness she would talk to the pups, she told them stories of her and her siblings. They looked up to her like an older sister and on various occasions she would slip prey through the fence when they weren't successful in hunting. They took away most of the pain of losing her siblings, she would always miss them. She had the aching feeling that it was something she did that caused her to be taken from them. When the pups were separated only three months after she met them she felt the ache all over again. She was alone again.
After another nearly two months is when she was finally released from the enclosure. Because she was so young they didn't feel the need to tranquilize her, they simply loaded her into the truck and took off. The roar of the engine startled her, most of the ride she spent howling--it drove the humans insane. She hated the creeping feeling of being in the darkness of the truck, it terrified her to be in such a dark place. When the doors finally opened she shot out of the dark space like a rocket--leaving the truck and humans in the dust. It hardly took her long to find other wolves, it seemed like the humans were releasing all of the wolves into the same general area. 497
