PHYSiCAL DESCRiPTiON. To put it likely, Silver was well named. He's a very lightly colored timber wolf, though he's far from the pristine white of his arctic cousins. His pelt has settled to a lovely silver-grey color, lighter white-grey along his belly and the insides of his legs but a more distinct grey along his back and spine. The t-zone of Silver's face is dark grey but these markings serve only to highlight his handsome face. Silver has a long muzzle, sharply pointed ears and round eyes that are a lovely shade of mercury grey. Silver is a bit of a gangly wolf, long in the leg but lean with muscle. Built to run, Silver is obviously made to be a hunter and can travel for miles at a time at a steady lope or run. Silver is a bit of a scrappy young wolf as well, prone to getting into little scrapes with other loners but has managed to avoid major physical scarring thus far. He is a capable fighter for his age, though his rash attitude and inability to keep his head screwed on straight gets him into trouble. He is seldom the victor when he fights but still, Silver loves the adrenaline rush, which is another reason he loves hunting. As he grows as a hunter and fighter there's no doubt he'll become quite a force to be reckoned with but for now he's simply a scrappy young male with too much energy and a handsome face.
PERSONALiTY. Silver is quite a dominate wolf despite his youth. He has a lot of energy and a lot of spunk but few outlets. Living as a loner most of his life, Silver hasn't properly learned how to work as part of a pack though the idea of a pack interests him. Strategically, Silver sees potential in pack life but chafes when confronted with other dominant wolves. Youth and inexperience have undermined any attempts he's made to get himself noticed and his own inability to sit still often ruins his attempts at being taken seriously. Silver struggles with patience, though he can sit for hours at a time when waiting for prey. Youth, however, is Silver's downfall. He doesn't know when to wait, when to keep his mouth shut or when to back off and it gets him into a lot of trouble. Hunger, anger, lust and stubbornness are perhaps some of Silver's worst vices. He is very much interested in his own wellbeing but makes poor decisions regarding that wellbeing. Too stubborn to admit he was wrong, Silver often prefers to burn bridges over apologizing or admitting fault. He'd rather walk away with his head held high, hiding a limp, than admit he made a mistake that got him hurt.
When he interacts with others, Silver is largely a playful character. He's flirty and a bit ridiculous, ambitious and well-meaning but he is a creature of pride. Once his pride has been bruised, he'll often go to extremes to prove himself or become quite defensive. Older wolves grate on Silver's nerves and often wear away his playfulness quite quickly, even she-wolves. He curls his lip at doting mothers and snarls at "grandfatherly" wolves that "only want to help". Silver is convinced these wolves are full of crock and should mind their own business, an opinion that often earns him a sharp nip and scolding. Pups, however, get along with Silver like a house on fire. He loves playing with them and teaching them all forms of mischief to drive their parent's mad. As far as love goes Silver has very little experience in this realm. He is a famous flirt but has seldom formed any real emotional attachments with anyone. He flirts almost like he's bored and just looking for something to do, not really interested in serious relationships because he doesn't often stay in one place for long.
HiSTORY. Like so many wolves, Silver was born on a reserve though not the one near Sang City. The facility he was kept at was very small and privately run. It had a pack of approximately eight wolves when Silver was born. His mother, Jayda and his father, Sloan, were the alpha pair for this particular pack. Silver was named by his mother for his light pelt, the lightest of his three siblings. In his litter Silver had one sister named Cyla and a brother named Conan. Silver was the middle pup and suffered from middle child syndrome. He could seldom impress his parents and only ever succeeded in annoying his packmates with his constant mischief. His siblings turned their nose up at his antics, more interested in tattling on him than joining his adventures. As a result Silver spent quite a bit of time alone in his first year. However, things changed quickly in the little park where Silver and his family lived. The facility had been struggling financially for a long time and finally went under around the end of Silver's first year of life. When it went under, the facility surrendered the wolves and had them sent to different parks to "introduce genetic variety." Silver and his family were tranquilized and separated, crated up and shipped across the world.
Silver woke up from his long snooze in an open crate in the middle of the reserve. At first, he panicked and ran in circles howling for his family. He may not have always gotten along with them, but they were familiar. That first night Silver howled until his throat was raw but in the end was forced to accept that he was alone. The first few weeks were hard and to be honest, Silver nearly starved. When he came across other wolves he immediately became defensive and guarded which naturally earned him no friends. Since then Silver has been able to relax just a little but still finds it hard to deal with older wolves, though that behavior isn't really new for him. He's gotten the hang of hunting for himself and likes to think he's quite happy.
