A collar made of real cow-leather. It is deep mahogany in color, with rawhide laces and an embossed floral design. The inside of it is soft suede, ensuring the comfort of the wearer. Dog Tags
A set of three tags, arranged so that they show in order of importance when they hang. Always facing front, and always easily read, is a bone-shaped steel tag with embossed black designs around the raised edges. The middle, sunken slightly, proudly bears the engraved name of "Dimytri" in cursive type. The second tag, visible only by moving the first, is a simple piece of plain steel, with punched numbers stating that the dog is up to date on its rabies vaccination.  RiDDLE ME THiS ! overview In our constant endeavor to gift our lovely members with more pawprints than they can spend, we've decided to incorporate this here contest. As of now, such a contest will be indefinite here on WTMS. And, get this, every answer will earn you pawprints (no matter if it is right or wrong)! Of course a correct answer garners more prints to be given out, but who's counting these things anyway?

rules So the rules are simple. A riddle (some simple, some complicated) will be listed below, and the first correct answer will be awarded 5 pawprints. WORD OF THE WEEK ! overview In order to expand our collective vocabulary--and because, for whatever reason, I'm fascinated with new/different words--we are giving you a chance to earn pawprints simply by posting! That's right. Each week, a different word will be posted in this thread for you to use in your roleplay. If you use it, and use it correctly, you need only to post here to receive a reward for doing so. Sounds pretty epic, right? Not only is it (quite) epic, it is easy, and it's fun. Seriously, who doesn't love to learn new things, and be rewarded for learning them?

rules In order to receive your reward for using the word, it must have been used correctly. You can't just toss it into a sentence at random. That said, we provide definitions and an example to help you on your way. You can use any of the definitions (some words can mean multiple things, depending on how it is used) you like, so long as the word is used in the right way.
Each word is worth 5 pawprints, if used correctly.
You may use the word multiple times in a single thread, but you will only be rewarded once per post. So, if you use the word three times in post #1 you will receive a single reward for that post. However, if, in that same thread, you used the word again in post #5, you will again receive a single reward. Effectively, this means that you can earn as many rewards as you make posts, per thread, but only one reward per post.
Obviously, in order to receive a reward for using the word, the post containing it must have been made during the appropriate week. If the post was made outside of the week, you will receive no reward. So pay close attention to the date!
To turn in a post for your reward, simply post here with a link to the thread, which character used the word, and a quote of the specific sentence. If you want the pawprints given to an account other than the character, add that in as well. Pretty simple, right? :3

What didn't kill you, made you stronger. Her body ached from the fight with Selven. It had only been two days, perhaps less. Blue eyes leveled themselves on the horizon as she traveled, regarding the sun as it rose over the flat expanse of land to the east. The bruise on her left shoulder where the stallion had crashed into her was slowly fading. It was now only a dull ache, a quiet reminder, and nothing more. The same could not be said for what she felt was a bone-bruise on her right shin. Her teeth clenched as she vividly remembered the colliding of the stallion's hooves with her forelimb. At the time, it hadn't truly hurt--adrenaline numbed the pain and left only the sensation of pressure--but now it throbbed endlessly, skewing her steps. The mare limped, wishing she had wings so she could simply fly over the terrain and rest her injury, but her face showed no pain. She wasn't in the business of showing weakness, and the fact that she limped at all irked her to no end. She snorted, shaking her head, and was reminded of her final parting gift from Selven; A nice chunk of mane missing from the base of her neck, just above her withers. The wound was scabbed, but it would take time for it to heal. The part of her mane affected would likely never grow back, the hair follicles themselves having been ripped out or grown over with scar tissue. The mare kept her thoughts to herself, and limped on.
After the fight had ended, she had spoken briefly with her new emperor. He had fought well--prowess in battle meant everything to the mare--and he had gained a revered status in her mind, never to be dethroned. She had pledged herself to him, told him that whatever he wanted of her, he need only ask. Then she'd laid out her plans to create and army for him, for Tenebris. He'd seemed pleased. At least, she'd been given his blessing. Then off she'd gone to find a suitable place while her body healed. At first, she had simply gone north, following the hints of another Tenebris land, Cocytus. She'd never thought to actually enter the land--diplomacy with the other herd leaders would come when she was not forced to limp--but she at least wanted to see its border. And so she had. A river of blood. Impressive, but not good for the surrounding ecosystem. There were few plants, and only snow and ice around. This was not the place to raise an army. So she had gone west, following the setting fun, searching. Ever searching.
The flat-land snow had given way to forest, and she had paused at its edge, considering. With her limp, it might be easier to circumvent the woods, but she didn't run from a challenge. Surprisingly, the forest had been relatively short-lived in her western travel. Once crossing back out of it, she had looked it up and down. There was ocean to the north, and more forest to the south. It seemed she had simply passed through a small peninsula of the tree and undergrowth, though it seemed thick from either side. A good barrier to have, she knew. Traveling further west, the land changed rapidly. The soil became dry and loose, mountains could be see in the distance, and there was a definite downward slope. When the archway rose before her, she could only stand, thunderstruck, as she viewed the badlands beyond. This... This would be the place. Surrounded by natural barriers, mountains with the ocean at their backs, forests with endless trees, this arch the only entrance, it was perfect. Without a second thought the mare relieved herself, marking a clear claim, and descended into her new home.

The set of antlers from the driin she brought down in her first hunt. Though the Whitetail was old, and his antlers had gone back, they are still quite impressive with 8 points on each. The bases have been gnawed off so that she could remove them.

Taken from the driin she brought down in her first hunt. The marrow has been sucked from them, and the bones have been laid out to bleach in the sun, leaving them a stark white.
1 Dried Medium Hide - Stiff
The hide of the driin she brought down in her first hunt. The fur remains intact on one side, and the hide has been scraped and dried in the sun, making it stiff. The left shoulder of the hide has a large hole where the driin had suffered from an infected injury. The head is intact on the hide, though the skull is long gone.

03. Fight with Cassia.
Darastrix was attacked by Cassia, the black wolf assuming the white was niraat. The two were fairly evenly matched in the ensuing battle, though Cassia had a weight advantage. In the end, they both split off, ending the fight with no clear victor.
- Darastrix is hesitant to kill another wolf, even if her first instinct, and all appearances of the wolf, tell her to do so. She would rather try to end the fight through other means, first. Cassia is an equal to Darastrix, in skill, restraint, and will.
02. Downing of the old driin.
Darastrix brought down an aged driin by herself. She was able, despite her white coat in the green/brown grass of Spring, to stay undetected until her leap.
- Though she must work harder to keep herself hidden, it is very possible.
01. Dominance scuffle with Jesk di Vykladei.
At the carcass of the bozok, Darastrix charged in to claim what her dominant nature said was hers. Jesk, at first, backed away, then retaliated. The fight was brief, and Jesk submitted in the end.
- Not every wolf will back away and stay away. Jesk is a wolf not to be taken lightly, though she can respect when she is bested.
